Six ways to answer

  • Video: record with your camera and microphone, or upload a video file.
  • Audio: record with your microphone, or upload an audio file.
  • Long text and short text: type a written response.
  • Single choice: choose one of the provided options.
  • Multiple choice: choose one or more of the provided options.

The employer chooses the format for each question. An upload alternative uses the same media format; a video question does not become a written question. Contact the employer if you need a different way to participate.

Check the time and retake allowance

Recording questions show a time limit and the allowed number of retakes. The employer can set 5 seconds to 10 minutes per question and 0 to 10 retakes. Recording stops when the time limit is reached.

A retake is an additional attempt after the first recording. Preview your response before choosing Use this recording. Record again is available while you have attempts remaining. Uploaded files must also fit the question’s time limit.

Keep the response you want to send

For a recording, select Use this recording and wait for Response saved before continuing. If you replace an answer before final submission, the answer saved for that question is the one included in your interview.

Questions marked Required must be answered. You can continue past an optional question without a response. Your interview is only sent after the final Submit interview step.
